In early 2013, the 2014 Mazda CX-5 will get an optional 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine in response to complaints over the crossover‘s lack of power. The CX-5 may also get an interior refresh and improved connectivity and infotainment systems, but don’t expect an exterior redesign before 2016. The Skyactiv diesel should find its way into the U.S.-market CX-5’s engine bay, likely after it makes its Mazda6 debut. Optional engines will be nice choices for those that want to pay extra. I doubt the intererior refresh will happen that soon.

A company that promotes "Zoom Zoom" should put in a half decent engine. Diesel would be great in North America, as soon as possible!.
