Default Homelink/Auto Dimming

My daughter just picked up her 2021 CX-30 Premium today. All is well but we did notice that homelink and auto dimming rear view mirror aren't included. Does anyone have any comments on this? Obviously it isn't included but I found that odd to some degree. Any thoughts welcome.

Indeed interesting that the Frameless auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink is not included in even the upper-trim level of the CX-30. They must have done some market research and concluded that it is not that essential for the typical CX-30 customer but I would have actually preferred to have it.

I should have updated this thread. I did find out that it's available as a Mazda Accessory. I believe we'll be adding that. I think it should have been included also.

Thanks for the update. Good to know that at least you can have it as add-on.

Default Are the two auto-dimmable mirrors swappable?

I believe Mazda uses the same mirror mount for most of their mirrors.
QUESTION: Do the (auto-dimmable mirror) and the (auto-dimmable mirror with Homelink) have the same connector? And if so, are they basically interchangeable without messing with the wiring?
Thank you.

My daughter decided against having it installed so unfortunately I can't answer this question. Sorry.

I have a 2021 CX-30. It had the autodim mirror but no homelink.
I ordered the autodim/homelink mirror for $250.
It comes with wiring to hook it up but I hoped since I had the autodim already that the wiring was already there.
Removed the old mirror, not hard, but different.
The old mirror did have an electrical plug I had to remove.
Attached new mirror with autodim/homelnk, plugged it into existing plug and everything works.
Overall an easy upgrade since the power plug was already there.

How did you remove the rearview mirror cover? I have plastic panel removal tools but I am having trouble figuring out where to start and how to proceed.
Thanks.
