V8 swap into 89 mazda b2200
 

Decided my 4 banger was just too boring for me so i slapped a "built" 267 cu/in SBC into it.

The motor makes about 300hp and 340 ft/lbs torque.

I'm hooking it to a 68 turbo 350 trans which i have opened, rebuilt and modified with extra steels and clutches.

Here's a few pics of the engine in the truck getting ready to be tied in as the new heart.

Ended up buying an aluminumfront engine plate and solid mounting it to the frame.

The turbo 350 trans will almost bolt right up if you bash the firewall back 3-4" to fit the distrib.... i opted not to bash the firewall as I want to keep the heater core functional so i had to make a custom bracket to move the trans forward in the chassis.
