RE: V8 Conversion
I have been working in this B2600 for over 6 years Presently I am installing a 345 HP Ford Racing crate engine in it. I still have the 5 speed Mazda 4 x4 dive train in this truck and YES it all works. I will send e-mails to who ever wishes to see this work in progress.

RE: V8 Conversion
very nice but i never could understand the whole 302 thing never did like that much myself. not enough power. but i guess it would do pretty goo in that. i will have to get some pics of my truck before and after i put the 375 H.P. 71 LT1 350. good job dude. what did you use for a rearend.

RE: V8 Conversion
I've seen 302's produce anywhere from 130 hp (stock circa 1977) to almost 500 hp. (heavily built up, but still no forced induction or power adders.)
I'm currently building a 306 (302 bored over) that will have in the neighborhood of 450 hp once completed for my 74 Bronco. (AFR185 heads, custom headers, Victor Jr Intake, Competition Cam, etc.) It's all in the parts you put inside. |
RE: V8 Conversion
This trick ahs the B2800 4 x 4 dravie train and all works well including the 4 wheel drive. however it has not seen any dirt or 4 x 4 challenges is years.
