I haven't done this on my B-truck, but a year ago I removed the transmission on a 1998 Frontier. I'm in Arizona (no rust), and these bolts were UNBELIEVABLY tight. I used a six-point socket and 1/2 inch breaker bar on them. I had to slip a strong piece of pipe over the handle for extra leverage too.

Hint: wear gloves, as when the bolt loosens, you don't want to injure your hands. Maybe try aerosol loosener such as PB Blaster first.

thanx cusser...I got a 17mm/19mm combinatio box end wrench( about 2" longer than 3/8 breaker bar and got them loose(ball peen hammer on 2 of the lil booger's) thanx for the advice.

On that Frontier, I had to put a pipe over a box wrench to loosen one or two. Sometimes jacking up the transmission a tad, or lowering it, can provide more clearance.
