rogh idle, stall problem

hey all.. new here.. im workin on my buddys 91 b2200(fi) now got it to start, but idles rough. and if you give it any gas it stalls.. but will idle..and if you let off the gas it was go back to idling after it tries to stall..

has a newish fuel pmp.(was done under a year ago, but truck was stored for alot of that.) has good spark, and a good injector pulse..

ive played with the timing but to no avail..

i also just did the head gaskt, and ive checked the cam/distributor timing about 12 times, and it seem to be good..

any other ideas as to what it could be??

thanks

make sure the EGR valve is closing at idle.

Good question - I'm not sure EFI models have them.
