RE: failed smog

Carb or fuel injected? Mileage on vehicle? Any new parts?

Incomplete combustion (bad plugs/wires/dist cap/rotor), carbon build-up (high mileage), poor tuning, etc can all lead to high exhaust emissions.

Kind of tough to give any help with the limited info given.

RE: failed smog

rebuilt 2.2 carb. 200. miles on rebuild, 177.000 on truck itself. new plugs/wires new cap/rotor, new fuel/air filters, i think it's in limp mode, the vacuum solenoid valvefor the duty valve that opens the EGR valve is not getting 12 volts to open the valve. how do you get it out of limp mode ?? Thank You.
