Mazda BT50 intermittent start
HI There
I have a BT50 and when starting it will not start until several turns of the key. I think it maybe the starter solenoid crapping out. I do hear a clicking sound on key turn and after several attempts it fires up but it is gradually getting worse. anyone have an idea of what maybe the cause |
Bad starter. Remove your starter and have it bench tested at McAutoParts store. If it's bad, buy a new/reman one.

Southkiwi42 do you have a UN, UP, UR or TF series BT-50?

Make sure the battery cables are clean and tight.
1. Post voltage across battery terminals WHILE it's clicking and not spinning the engine. 2. Try a jump start from another vehicle or battery booster. |
