license plate light

My 91 b2600 has no apparent license plate light. Apparently that has been a good reason to get pulled over by the cops and I would like to find it and fix it before I get a ticket. Any help would be great.

RE: license plate light

My '88 B2200 has two license plate lamps, one just over each top corner of the license plate; the hole for accessing the spare tire drop-down socket is2 inches away fromthe right one. If you have these, make sure your bulbs are OK. If so, make sure you get 12 volts positive there when the taillights are on. The license lamps are wired in parallel with the taillights. If you by chance have no license lamps, I'd try a wrecking yard, much easier than trying to Mickey Mouse some in; they are each held in by 2 screws.
