Hydraulic Lifter Interchangeability B2600i

Hello,

I have a 1993 Mazda B2600i 4x4 Pickup Truck.

The engine failed and so I've furnished a replacement with new bearings, chains, pistons, valves, head, clutch, pumps, and paint. I need lifters to complete the engine. I see that there are lifters for sale for this model truck but are quite expensive. Is there another engine that uses the same lifters?

I've also heard that stock camshafts can be turned into racing cams by special shops. I'd like this because the journals are grooved. Is this possible?

Thank You,
Goatman

All the HLA's are the same so the same price. As far as the camshaft goes they grind the lobes but not the journals as there are no cam bearings so grinding the journals would create excessive clearance. If you replace the head get a new cam to go with it or it will eat on the new head.
