heres another anyone know if a 87 b2200 engine bolt up to b2600 of the same year????

Best thing to do is call a salvage yard. They have interchange manuals that tell you for sure.

I have had both of the motors side by side before, and the 2600 is bigger... i dont think it would work, but i really could not tell you???

The B2600 uses a type III tranny similar to that found in the MPV, 929, and RX7 TII. This transmission is beefier you should be able to take the B2200 bell housing and put it on the B2600 tranny and bolt it up. Since your putting the B2200 engien in the 2600 and not the opposite way around you shouldn't have to worry about the driveshaft because of the B2600 output shaft on the tranny being larger.
