Carb float calibration?
1984 B2000 SE-5
I've been messing with the carb for the past couple months. I've gotten it to the point where it reliably doesn't starve or flood, but the float is still set way too high. Problem is, there's no external adjustment. I have to take apart the bowl every time I have to adjust the float, and I only know if it's right once I've run the engine for a while. Anyone know of a way to calibrate it, so I can stop wasting gas like this?
I've seen new ones around the internet, but the packaging on em says you need to adjust them as you install them.

Wait. The crankshaft has 2 marks for timing. **** me. I think I know what the issue is. Because I didn't want to rip the entire front end of my truck apart again. So Ive been doing the timing without removing the crankshaft pulley completely. I'm gonna put 3 pictures up in a second of what I e been timing it off of. One of the crankshaft at tdc, one of the cam and one of the distributor and you guys tell me if I'm just an idiot. I think thats the likely issue.
One question though. I know the b2000 is a 2.0 and the b2200 is a 2.2. Everywhere that I've seen videos says both like there's no difference in the mechanics, but the Hanes shows a lot of disparities. Is the Hanes bull****. Should I not be using that as the go to for this truck?
