B4000
New to this board.
My 1997 B4000 has the 'brake' + 'abs' warning lights on ![:o] Brakes work fine,fluid level fine. Any suggestions ?[sm=icon_cheers.gif] |

When both these lights are on, that means the abs (anti lock brake) system sees a failure. Your normal brakes will work fine with no problem, you just do not have anti lock if you need it. You need to have the brake system codes read by a scan tool to know what the computer is seeing. It is most likely a wheel speed sensor (there are more than one) that is dirty or has gone bad.

I think the abs sensor is mounted near the rear diff? |

It depends if you have rear wheel antilock or four wheel. If just rear wheel, the sensor should be located in the differential. If four wheel, there is also a sensor on each front wheel along with the differential.
