B3000 Shifter Knob
 

This is a minor (but irritating) issue. I have a 1996 5-speed B3000. The shifter knob is continually loose and I can take it right off the shifter. I've actually lost it 2x (in 11 years) and replaced it. Replacement knobs appear to be "crimped" on and quickly become loose again. Has anyone had this same problem and resolved it (i.e. more permanently)?? Is there a special way to reattach the knob, or should I just get out my pliers and crank the h*ll out of it?? Thanks.
