b2600 weber help!!

I"m trying to install a weber 32/36 carb on my b2600 and the directions suck and i can't seem to find any pics of one done. Would anyone happen to have some available?

Me too!

I just installed mine today! not done, runs great but has a loud wistle and still need to cap of the water line in the back and the extra fuel line! I have about 10 golf tees pluged in vacume lines, which I will work on tomorrow! I'm also looking for more help on here! I did need to ground down the 4 allen bolts that hold the adapter plate on. Got to love the instructions

I took a few days and gutted all that useless emissions stuff. All i have left is the throttle cable. how did you hook yours up? neither of the ones from the kit will work the cable and the throttle arm off the stock carb doesn't have a hole for the choke linkage so i was trying to put the two on and my stud that they bolt to is too short??

My kit only came with one throtle cable bracket and it looks like it will work fine! my carb has an electric choke! I also have a kit that is not listed on the weber website! I think it's an updated kit! TEK 611

i got mine off ebay with an electric choke and i think its a k611. My throttle faces the firewall with the fuel line hook up faces forward. Mine came with three different brackets and not sure if any will work. I would greatly appreciate a picture of the throttle cable hook up if your able Thanks

I would call weber and get some technical advice, why did you remove the throttle arm from the stock carb? just cut the tip off and mount the wire with the special bolt that is included in the kit! and with the bracket the hole for the cable should line up with the clamp on the valve cover and the throttle on the carb.

I'm not mounting mine untill Monday. I was cut short installing mine, it started snowing!

P.S. we have the same KIT!

Hey how did you all cover or plug the coolant line coming through the intake into the carb? Also what did yall do with the wires that connected to the vaccum hoses? I have an 87 b2600 that I just changed out the carb on tuesday. I have no fuel or spark?

akgolfpro 02-15-2009 06:56 PM

I used bolts/clamp frome ACE to plug the water line! and bolts for the fuel ines! I'm not done yet but I do have spark and fuel! I started it up and runs smooth!
