B2600 2.5" Ironman Suspension Lift

I recently purchased a 2.5" Ironman Suspension Lift off Ebay and installed it on my 89' B2600. Quite a suprise, the front is a full 2.5" and the rear springs are a near 4.5" lift from factory. I had to remove the overloads and one leaf to level it out (the ass end looked terrible that high). Anyone else notice this with that kit?

Iv been looking at this same setup, was the front end parts of this kit hard to put on?

The front end consists of new torsion bars and shocks. Torsion bars in this truck are no harder than any other ive done. Just make sure you use some penetrating oil and a wire brush (or wheel works better) on the adjustment bolts before you back them up or you will cease them in the half moon keepers. Other than that make sure you mark the torsion bars properly so you can put the ends on the new ones correctly. And on the rear, I just dropped the two overloads and the last arch spring and the truck sits level and rides great. (no impact on towing capacity).

Does it come with good directions because Iv never done any torsion bar work, but the rear end will be easy for me.

Nope, It comes with no destructions. Its a pretty easy kit though. For your torsion bars, you can just follow instructions from a repair manual on replacing/adjusting them. That should get you through.

what did you use for ball joint spacers, are those homemade or storebought? im interested in doing this. did you install a spacer on just the upper balljoint? i already have pro-comp shocks that are longer so i wont have to build an extension. seems straight forward though.
PS: is your truck body lifted?

RE: B2600 2.5" Ironman Suspension Lift

spacer are homemade
1 inch square steel bent/curved around the old upper ball joint then drilled to match the bolt holes got longer bolts(gr8)
the body lift is also made with pucks and metal pipe to center them and provide a bushing
will get some updated pics up soon
so everyone can see how its holding up

okay cool i'd like to see more pics of that so maybe i can build something like that, and one more thing, did you use a spacer on only the upper balljoint?
im still trying to get some pics of my truck but apperently the file is too large...
