99 b2500 wiper problem
 

hey guys. the wipers on my truck have not been working for several months. usually it doesnt bother me, i just rainx the windshield but there have been some torrential downpours here in charleston and ive got to get it fixed. ive tried hooking up a new motor and nothing happens, tried a new lever, and nothing. tried new of both and nothing. tried switching out the position 14 and 3 relays and nothing. also, i have the door ajar light problem and the horn has flunked out.. they could be related? any help would be apreciated.

Did you try a test light
 

to see if you are gettin power to the wires. Then see if you got a good ground. If you dont have any of them ya prob gotta just start tracing the wires to check for any possible damage to them. I have had a wire shortage that that has caused some of the wires to melt together and screw both the pos and neg wires up. Also check for any corrosion at the connection points. Hope this might help ya out alittle. Oh and keep calm and chive on!!

I havent done that yet.. i was really really hoping that it wasn't a phantom short or wire problem... but i guess deep down i knew it. Electrical wires have a special place for me in their hateful hearts. thankyou for the input!
