i have a 94 b3000 and the engine sounds like it has a miss in it and i bought a code reader but it will only hook up on 96 and up vehicles...is there a code reader for vehicles earlier then that or is there anyways to read them, or anybody got any ides what my problem might be

 

I had a '94 B3000. It used to miss regularly when it was damp out although it would idle okay and run fine warm. It was usually on acceleration. I would spray the spark plug wires with Krown and that would be good for about 6 months. I assume the wires were the problem.
