92 b2200 bog down then quit

was on the highway in my 92 b2200 FI when it bogged down. i pulled over and it had a high idol. shut it off, would start up right away but soon as i give it gas rpms dropped and it almost quit. after a hour and half tow to my place its not starting. anyone have any ideas?

first thing pops into my head is a vacuum leak or the float or rather the carb is messed up internaly. check for the obvious cracked pcv hose and other vac hoses. but sounds like your getting to much fuel or not enough air when you hit the pedel.

not carb, fuel injected but tahts where i went. it kind of sputters a little when i try to start it but not enough to get it going.

oh I thought the FI meant the type of engine, I recall they are f2 or f1 or whatever for these mazdas. well then if its fuel injected go for the fuel pressure regulator. sounds like what my explorer was doing, i was at stop sign and high gas to get goin a little more hardcore then usual and it would bog right down even blow black/unburn fuel out the tail pipe. didnt take long for me to figure out what was wrong, it was progressive for a while with bad fuel milage and then one day after the stop sign type thing it wouldnt start becuase of flooding or vise versa, in any event I'd go for that first off. Fuel pressure regulator.
