89 B2200 Carb Rebuild question + a couple misc questions

I have an 89 B2200 that is idleing badly. I made adjustments and it ran great for about 2 days then back to running poorly. I think I may rebuild the carb. Does anyone know the Carb model so I can purchase the kit? Ive also seen these weber conversions...Are they worht the money? This truck has 195000 miles and if I were to guess..it sat for a while before I got it. It ran really good for about 6 months.

Also, the fuel gauge only partially operates. When its full it shows empty and when its half tank it goes up to half then back to empty when empty. Is a new sending unit the only fix for this?

Also, the ignition key is stuck in the ignition and has been this way for along time. Is there a secret button or way to get it out or do I need to replace the ignition switch?

Thanks

TJ

Go to Advanced Auto or Autozone, give them the year make and model, and they can get you a carb kit from that. With your fuel guage you will probably need a new sending unit. Sorry but I can not tell you about the Weber carb. or the key switch.

Thanks for the reply. For now, I need to work oin the carb issue to get back on the road. I can live with the key and sending unit issue. Ive heard some bad things about the weber conversion so I thought Id throw it out on this forum. Those kits are all over ebay.

Thanks again
