'88 mazda b2600 bucket seat conversion?

Has anyone taken out the stock bench seats and replaced with bucket seats. i am a noobie at this stuff and am looking for any help i can get. i have heard that the older ford sedans had seats that make nearly perfect replacements but i would like to know what to look for before i go "pick-a-part"ing.

the bolt hole's are already in the floor just need to cut the hole in the carpet for the frame of the seats

That's good to know, I was going to put buckets in my truck once I get a DD car.

ahhh ok i thought ya went 2200 seats to a 2600 cab vice versa there... looks good, i wish i could find me a set of buckets in good shape for mine, accually i am thinking of parting her out and finding me a x-cab, even if the rugrats cant fit i know a few other things could go back there..

Haven't checked this site in quite a while...

Usually hang out at www.mazdatruckin.com.

I have 1998 Dodge Neon buckets in my 87 B2000.

Almost perfect fit. One small mod to make it a direct bolt in. I need (even after 4 months) to swap (seat for seat) the inside rear mounting feet. The Neon feet are offset to the outside of the cab, while the Mazda feet are offset towards the hump.

Seats:

Not a great picture, but it does the job.....

Thank the wife for the "cheesy" leopard print.....

got these off of ebay. bolted through the floor with 4x4 plates on the underside of the cab. used 2x3 steel for the rear mounts, 1x1 tube in the front. had to get them up off the floor, the stock seats were way to low, and i like to be able to look out.
