my truck(87mazda b2600 4x4) has 199000 miles on it and its idleing to high-3200rpm-seating still.ive had a new carb(webber) put on and two good shops,try to get it to idle down.and its still doing it.its a water actived choke-.the idler is all the way out.the thottle cables not in a bind.cant find air leak nowhere. does anyone have any ideas?thanks

 

You failed to mention if the carburetor is "used" or "new", if the Weber was previously used before you installed it...the choke thermostat is more than likely worn out.

 

it was a rebuilt carb.we went throw 5 different carbs.then company stop exchanging them.same problem with all, idles to high.i had 2 shops to try get it to idle down and couldnt. does any one have any ideas on how to get it to idle down?

 

i have this same problem with my 1987 b2600 if any one knows would gladly appreciate the info....

 

Don't know if you got it figured out yet but mine had the same issue. Fixed it with a new neutral switch and vacuum lines. then the oil injectors gave up at hiway speed and it needed a new motor so I made a 4.3 chevy fit and work. Don't have any problems now.
