86 b2000 carb help

I have a 86 B2000. I am having this problem where when i am driving it will stuter like it is going to die from no fuel. I thought that maybe it was the fuel filter or perhaps the pump. they bolth turned out to be ok. This leads me to belive something in the carb. perhaps the throttle palte? anone have any suggestions on what you think it might be, I would realy appreciate the addvice.

RE: 86 b2000 carb help

I have the same problem and think it is related to the electric choke at the back of the carb, or the two idle sensor solenoids front and back of the carb.
Once it warms up, it runs with no problem.

theres a air/fuel solinoid inside the carb that has two O-rings, one on each end. they go bad and will cause it to do what you discribed. hope this helps.

RE: 86 b2000 carb help

Thanks for the info, now if I can just find the manual to rebuild this particular carb. I have found the rebuilt kit locally for less than $30, but hate to tear into it without some kind of blow up of the unit.
Would you happen to know anywhere online with a picture of the carbs?
