Default 4 Wheel Drive Problem

[:@] Hello
I have a 1999 Mazda B4000 and today I went to put my truck in 4 wheel drive and noticed that the front tires are not lockin in.I can feel the power difference as I believe the transfer case is working fine.I have the auto hubs could these be worn out or could it be a vacume or electical problem? If anyone can help me that would be great. It figures that on the first snow of the year here in PA my truck has 4x4 problems.
Thanks Brian
