1990 B2200 Clutch

Hello all. I am coming to you guys with another problem that I hope I can get some opinions on. I have a 1992 B2200 and I am having issues with the clutch. For about a month now I have been having issues with suck tasks like having to muscle it into gear and it's a real pain getting her into reverse. I have also noticed that the clutch pedal has become mushy. If there is anyone out there that has any idea what the problem is, I would love to hear from them. Thanks guys.

RE: 1990 B2200 Clutch

These are good trucks. However, their clutch master and slave cylinders are not the most reliable (I've replaced the ones on my '88 several times in the 14 years I've owned it). Replacement is pretty straightforward, with bleeding the air out as final step, similar to bleeding brakes. I'd definitely go for the lifetime warranty cylinders as well.

By the way, the brake master cylinder has similar issues...

RE: 1990 B2200 Clutch

Hey thanks for the advice. I was planning on bleeding the clutch line out to see if there wasn't just air in the line (which I was assuming the reason was for the mushy pedal condition). The only thing that I have a question about is would it be expected to hear grinding of the gears even though the clutch is all the way down? This especially happens when I'm trying to get into reverse, it can take about 5 minutes before I can actually get the thing to go into gear.
