1989 b2600i 4x4 Problem
 

When i cut the key on or crank the truck up the RFW ( Remote Free Wheel) switch shows the hubs are locked, i just bought this truck about a week ago, the 4-wheel drive works but i don't think the light is susposed to come on when i cut the key on, the lever is in 2-wheel drive, and the light comes on..... help i don't want to mess anything driving it... is a vacuum problem or what, there is a plug( electrical) that comes off the vacuum solenoids thats not plugged up. but dont look like it has never been plugged up help... help..

samething as mine(91) the vacuum unit jammed in the locked position, rather than fixing it i took the hubs from an 88,very easy except if the 6 bolt round off.unbolt the steel cap hub from the 89 and replace with the hubs from the 87-88.
drove mine like this for 3 yrs and in winter just left them locked and used the transfer case as a disconnect.
