Default Vin and Engine Number Identification - Need Help Please!

Data plate of my 2002 Mazda 323 Familia hatchback.

Hi all. The picture attached is of the data plate of my 2002 Mazda 323 Familia hatchback. It is a manual 5 speed and has air conditioning, if that helps.

Every parts shop I give this bunch of numbers to cannot identify the correct parts for the vehicle. I understand at a certain point in time VIN # specifications changed and this is an old car. Produced before these changes came about.

Should I try to contact Mazda direct? Or is there a website I can put these numbers into that will help me get an engine #?

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

I've tried getting through to Mazda Japan, which is where my car was produced, but unfortunately I don't understand what the automated teleprompter thing is saying. I tried sending an email to Mazda USA, who actually replied, and gave me the info for Mazda Zimbabwe. My concern is that Mazda Zimbabwe is a bit useless and won't be able to help. Will still try anyway. Just wondering if anyone else at all has had a similar problem - where there is no engine number indicated on the data plate and the VIN # only has 10 digits instead of 17?
