Trouble codes
 

So here's the deal. In the diagnostics box under the hood there should be a "TEN" connector and a "GRD" the ten isn't there. Its a 94 626. Is there an alternative way to get the trouble codes without having it scanned? BTW the engine will idle but when at operating temp it dies when in reverse or in gear. Any help is much appreciated.
