Tail & side lights on Mazda 626 Pheonix (1999)
 

Hi. I have a Mazda 626 Pheonix from way back in 1999 (UK model). Had a problem last week with the tail and side light fuse blowing. I've replaced the fuse but upon turning the lights on it pops after about half a second. This may or may not be related to driving through some flood water. I left the car for a week until I had time and daylight to work on it at the weekend. Started by replacing the fuse, in the hope that any water ingress would have dried out. Fuse popped again. I've checked the side lights and tail lights and the cable runs down the side of the vehicle for signs of water but I can't see anything. Tonight I'll check the resistance between the fuse terminal and ground, with the lights on, which should work out if the problem is the primary or secondary side of the relay? One thing I would like to do is pull the TNS relay, as one can check for water ingress and also, because it's a really good place to stick a meter probe. The one problem I have is that try as I might, I cannot locate said relay. There's a bank of four relays down the side, to the right of the battery and another one to the left of the engine compartment fuse box. I identified the 2nd from top as the main beam relay. As for the others, no idea. Couple of questions for those more intimate with the 626 than myself:

1) Where can one locate the TNS relay?

2) Can anyone offer any other advise to pin down the source of the problem? Can the circuit easily be broken down to test it in segments?
