Default Remote Key Fob

Hi Forum. Our 2002 626 remote key fob only works intermitently. Having changed the fobbattery I'm begining to think it might be the car end of the system might betemperature dependent. Two questions then. Has anybody got any experience of this and where is the remote lockingradio reciever and areiallocated in the car?

Hi Forum. It is difficult to believe that no one has any idea where the remote door locking/keylessdoor locking receiver and antena are located. Has any one got any clues? Any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks dave87. As the problem is intermittent and gives the impression of being the car end of the system, I needed some idea of where to start looking to see if I can find the relay which initiates the locking.

As a suplimentry question does any one have access to a wiring diagram for a 2002 RHD 626 AutoGsi Hatch Back ?

On a 2002 626 the keyless entry module and receiver are under the rear package tray just behind the rear seats. Should bea rather small box with only three wires going to it.
You might also check the contacts inside the key fob where the battery positive and negative make contact. Have seen some problems with poor contact and bending the connection tabs just a bit to make tighter contact have solved the intermittent no operation of keyless.

babyhuey. Thanks for the input but the car is a hatchback and the parcel shelf is removable and without any wires. Have already madechecks on the fobbattery and switches and feel sure this is transmitting OK. Before I startremoving trimpanels I would like to have a target area within the car.

Any further thoughts welcome from the forum

As a PS tomy last message above. Any one with access to a 2002 RHD 626 wiring diagram? A LHD would be better than none.
