No Haet in 1992 Mazda 929

I have no heat in my car. I put in a new thermostat but still have no heat. Heater hose is hot, gauge reads between cold and hot, but still no heat. Is it possible to have air in the line? How do I get rid of it? Is there a problem with a line? How do I fix this? Suggestions?????????

with the car cold, crack the radiator cap and start the car. as engine heats up it should force air to the top close the cap and all should be well. I can't remember if your suposed to have the heater on or not (I think you are) if someone knows for sure please respond

You might also check to make sure the hot/cold door actuator is not stuck in cold position. Actuator and door are locate in center dash area on the right side back behind the radio area. Might have to pull the glovebox to see well but might be able to see looking up from the passenger footwell area. Cycle the temp control switch from hot to cold and make sure the linkages/motor is all working. Both heater hose should be close to the same temperature with engine fully warmed up. If they are both hot to the touch then probably not an air bubble problem. If one is considerably colder than the other with heater fan on high then could have a heater core restriction.
