Default no dash lights on 01 626 lx

ok so short and sweet version of my problem is this i have an 01 626lx i took the factory radio out to install a new stereo system i cut the radio harness off not knowing that adapters existed everything worked until i undid the wiring for some maintenence when i rewired everything back the way i thought it was my dash lights didnt work i took everything off the factory radio harness and now have only the wires hanging loose i would think with nothing connected and no bare wires everything would work but i have no dash lights i have exact voltage readings on the wires if anyone would like to take a stab at this

On a lot of cars, the dash light dimmer also dims the factory stereo lights. The only thing that comes to mind is possibility of interfering with dimmer function somehow. I'd check fuses (that's the gimme, dash lights may be on a different fuse) then the dimmer switch for proper electrical function.
What 'maintenence' did you do?

Default dash lights

nothing electrical i had bought a frame for the radio and was going to install it. all the fuses are good no blown ones. if i tuch one of the wires from the dimmer to the acessory wire the dash lights come on but only when the head lights are off but it blows the room fuse if i remember correctly

I would guess then that dimmer switch may not be working right. Odd. does the switch have power going to it, but none coming out?
The fuse blowing may just mean the dash lights pull more amps than the accessory fuse can handle...

thats correct it must have power going to it when i check the wire with a volt meter there is differences in the current heres the break down hopefully this works the "u" and "d" represent the dimmer switch all the way up or down and the "day, low, high" represent the head lights.

Well, I'd presume dimmer switch is ok. Did you connect the dimmer wire for the factory radio to anything on the new radio? That's all that comes to mind...
