Default Newbie Problem

Hey I have a Mazda Astina 323 1990, I am from australia, I was just driving and then suddenly spedometer fell (speed stayed the same) and now the speedometer wont work and this hold light started flashing along with it ... and now this hold light wont go away .. and the speedometer wont work .. but the car runs fine .. changes gears fine .. no problems with the car itself .. oils fine .. ???

Have you checked the speedometer cable to see if it's broken?

I wouldnt even know where to start looking for that .. im a big newb... any help ?? i drove the car aagin not long ago .. floored it .. and everything .. everything seems to be fine. but the speedometer and that light wont go away.

The flexible drive cable is driven from the transmission and leads to the back of the speedo itself. I'd look there first.

do u know anywhere where i can find a diagram on this stuff ?? or where everything is under the bonnet .. .coz i have no clue
