A little background... I bought this '88 1.6 323 a few weeks ago for $200. It's just my commuter but i'm not ready to let go of it already.

I checked the oil when I got it and it looked great, but as it turns out it burns more than I had thought. I noticed it ticking for the first time yesterday and drove it home to check things out(no more than 3 miles), and when i checked the oilit was just about 2 quarts low! [sm=oopssign.gif] I filled it up and to ticking got a little quieter but only for a few minutes.

It still ticks and it seems to be running a little rougher and weaker (but maybe my imagination?) So am I looking at a simple fix or should she just go to the junkyard already?
