how easy is it to replace the water pump on a 94 626. I have moderate mech. exp. any reply will be helpfull

 

There is a video on Youtube that shows what is involved to replace the WP on a 626. Do a search there and you will find the series. It should give you a rough idea of what you will getting yourself into with this project.

The actual replacement of the WP is easy, getting to it is not. Mazda says to replace the timing belt at 60K miles. Gates says their belt lasts for 90K miles. Either way you will be removing the timing belt when you replace the WP.

 

yeah, do the timing belt while you are there. it is not any extra work to do at all.
