Default need help on 626 timing settings

hey guys i just purchased a 1988 mazda 626 turbo ( 2.0 )
the person who had it before me told me he had taken the dizzy off and couldnt figure out how to put it back on in the right position so car no start
anyone on here got any idea on what direction to reset it at iv got it on tdc and just need to set the dizzy back help much apreciated

The dizzy ( I guess you mean distributor?) should only fit on one way onto the end of the camshaft. The two ends on the dist gear should fit into the slots of the cam. These slots are offset, not right in the center. Timing is set to 9 deg BTDC at 750 RPM in N if manual of D if automatic. The timing connector must be disconnected first. Make sure firing order is correct and all wiring is plugged in on dist.
