Loss of tourqe?
I've had my 93 323 for about 9 months now, and i have noticed that when i try to accel my rpms will shoot up but i dont gain much power. It is a 5 speed. I notice that most of the time( In other 5 speeds) when you try to accel in a higher gear such as 4th, and you arent going with in the speed range for that gear, that it bogs, and the rpms dont rise. Im worried something may be wrong, or is it a 323 thing..

You mean you don't gain speed. That means your clutch slips. Most likely it is worn and needs to be replaced. But check first if you have a bit of pedal play. If you don't adjust it correctly. The Haynes manual explains how to do that.

Do you have a hydraulic clutch? If so, changing the hydraulic fluid may save the day for maybe 5 bucks. The reservoir sits on the brake master cylinder. The most forward compartment is for the clutch. Replacing the fluid is the same procedure as replacing and bleeding brake fluid. In fact you use brake fluid. The master cylinder is in the engine bay at the firewall by the pedal and the slave cylinder is near the clutch. The bleeder is at the slave cylinder.
If new fluid doesn't help the master cylinder or the slave cylinder or both are worn and need to be replaced. I don't know if the slave cylinder sits outside and can be replaced without taking out the trans-axle.
If you have a cable operated clutch and the cable mechanism looks good, then you are talking significant money for a complete clutch job. Get a few free estimates.
No offense, FL, I rename just about anyone,
