check for spark and gas on the plugs. if there's no gas, maybe the injector connection plug is loose, or the fuel filter is plugged. get a manual from the library and read the tuneup section. :)

The "hold" light is the same as the "OD" light in the US. the problem is related to the automatic transmission.
check ATF fluid level, replace ATF fluid and filter, check electrical connections and cross your fingers.

but most of all, micholson: don't answer posts that are 5 years old. ;-)

Had the same problem, blinking "hold" light. We disconnected the battery for 24 hours
and the problem went away. Hold light no longer blinks and the hold button works as
it is supposed to. Don't ask me??

Hi...it could be that your car has a bad connection. Do this, connect a bypass line from negative terminal to gearbox case and try starting.
