err code 1997 mazda 626 Australia
Hello,
Does anyone know the master code to reset the radio/casset head unit that came standard in the 1997 mazda 626 clasic. The code was inputted incorrectly 3 times and is now just coming up as err. i can get the 4 dashes back up again by going through the auto amfm prog ff process but i cant find the correct code to allow the unit to opperate correctly. Any advice would be appreciated. Many Thanks Best Regards Darren |

First i pressed the auto button then i pressed the am/fm button then i pressed the prog button then i pressed the ff button this sequence takes away the err message and brings back the four dashes. the codes i have tried are 2312 - cd player, code 0532- code off the net, 0000- code off the net 4989- code off the net, 1234 wild guess. i really dont want to try another 9995 combinations so if anyone knows the answer please help Thanks very much Darren |

The only other two codes for other models would be 1414 and 5011 but you may have a very different radio then in the US market as none of ours have a prog button.
Sacred Cow looks like has a 1995 from other post so here is how to unlock yours. Make sure display reads err. If not then enter wrong codes untill it does. Once ERR is displayed then press and release buttons in this order SCAN.....AM/FM....AUTO M......TUNE ^ Display should change to - - - - Pressradio station preset button #1until first dash reads 0 Pressradio station preset button #2 until second dash is 5 Pressradio station preset button #3 until third dash is 3 Pressradio station preset button #4 until fourth dash is 2 Display should now read 0532 Now push and hold the SCAN and AUTO-M buttons simultaneously for approx 2 seconds. If all went well then GOOD will be displayed and you are back in business. |
