Clutch failed on mazda 323
Evening all
Just bought an R reg 323 about 5 days ago and the clutch has failed it was bought through a garage who was selling on behalf of someone as it was thier mothers car who had recently passed away.
The car had been sitting idol for abour 8 months before I bought it took it for a test drive and all seemed fine but my girlfriend was driving it home tonight and it failed half way home.
Have to ring the guy I bought it from tomorrow but failing him agreeing to fix it what sort of price am i going to expect to pay to get it fixed.
Your advice will be welcome
Thanks

It depends on what failed in the clutch system. Clutch replacement will run a few hundred. If it's a clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder, it could be around 100.
Seeming fine then going out a few days later makes me wonder if it was the clutch itself...
What exactly did the car do when the clutch failed?
