95 929 What type of timing belt tensioner, hydraulic or other

My 95 929 has a hydraulic type timing belt tensioner. When looking for replacement part seems they may have a different type spring loaded also.
Any one know if there was a change or recall involving the hydraulic type?
Is it necessary to change the hydraulic tensioner if still working. Car has 78,000 miles, and what about all the pulleys, or should I just change the belt. There is a slight amount of slack in the upper pulley by feel, but it spins freely, and doesn't feel gritty. Any thoughts on kit made by PCI Preferred components, Inc.? It is reasonably priced, but don't want to put something on that may be worse than what I'm taking off. THanks
