929 radiator

94 929 radiator with POSSIBLE leak. Checked it the other day and almost empty, but engine never ran hot. Car has 130K on it, and i would gather that the plastic tank is cracked somewhere? never see any water on the ground so it must only be leaking out under high temps and evaporating? How much a job is it to replace this radiator? Any tricks or tips?

RE: 929 radiator

Well from experience, dont let anyone pound on it thinking its the clamps not holding... it only makes the crack larger and it will crack on the other side as well. but if its not plastic, pound away!

Also, dont use silicon to seal it cause it wont hold under pressure, and it looks ghetto.

If you go to a junk yard, dont act like its the right radiator, be less than pleased. Act like its probably not gonna work, I live in a miner town so it might be a different situation for you.

Important note when you do take out the radiator make sure every things disconnected and maybe get some clamps for the (tran oil?) be careful with the fan wire, it needent be tugged or it may stop working.

I covered the basics, but Im sure someone else has some better info on your model.

OH yeah always make sure your gun has bullets in it, looters can be a bitch, and theyll try to rape your dog. ;) jk
