Default 929 no fire

Hello, I have a 1988 929 3.0 v6 the problem is i have no fire comming out of my coil, i cahnged the coil and moduel and still no spark. can someone please help THANKS

You replace the ignitor or pickup? Does it spin over like a sewing machine? ( no compression)

Does anyone know if the crank bolt has left or right handed threads? would like to know before i put an impack wrench on it. Thanks dave

Right hand thread. So counterclockwise to remove. Non interference engine if you were wondering but check all the bearings closely as worn idlers tend to push the belt into the engine and shred it. Most notably the tensioner pivot bearing as it has a sleeve it pivots on that wears out.

Thanks Alot!! I orderd idlers and tensioner,water pump. the motor has about 120,000 on it and runs good. Thanks dave

i need help getting the motor back in time! the marks on the cams should point ? the crank points to the mark on the block? thanks dave

They are a bit tough to time. There are dots on the cams that line up with marks on the heads. You can get a diagram at Autozones website. I usually use a white marker on the cam marking the entire length of the cam gear as well as the head. The mark on the head is just above a timing cover bolt hole which if you start a long bolt into it can help you align it. Be sure the cam and crank seals are not leaking as this is the time to do those if they are even giving a hint of leaking. Also check the waterpump for any seepage. Be extra careful with the tensioner as it is easy to break.
