in my dads 323 the hold light is flashing because it died about a week ago and he replaced the CV axles. and now it wont start and he was wondering if there was a way to reset the sensor or something. because the book he has tells him to go to the dealer and he dosent want to have to pay someone an outragious amount of money to fix it. any ideas thanks

 

unplug the negative on the battery for like a min or somethen and put it back...

Is the engine cranking over normally but will just not fire up or is it not even cranking over. Replacing the axles is not going to fix a HOLD light flashing. This is telling you that the transmission has a fault. Could be related to it not starting however but not likely. What year is the 323?

 

its a 91 and the engine is cranking but there is no spark

 

is there spark from the distributor ?? If not is there power going to the distributor ?? Or are your plugs just finished ??
