Default 89 Mazda 626 turbo into a non- turbo 89 Mazda 626

Any difference between the transmission on 89 Mazda 626 2.2 non-turbo compared to an 89 Mazda 626 2.2 turbo engine? I plan on swapping 2.2 turbo engine into a non-turbo 89 Mazda. Not planning to use any of the turbo parts as I plan on using the intake from the non-turbo engine. Wanted to know if the bolt pattern is the same for both engines for the transmission, intake, and such.

Would be grateful for any info from somebody that knows the engines better than me.

There are differences between the turbo transmission and non-turbo transmission, but both will bolt on to the 2.2 liter engine of that time period. Everything else you mentioned is interchangeable for the most part, but if you're going to use the non-turbo trans for a turbo application just be easy on on it. I have heard about MX6/ 626 DX and LX cars of that era lasting years after being converted to turbo and others unfortunately that lasted only a few months due to the extra torque. Good luck with your conversion.
