626 stalled on me today
 

I have a 2002 626 LX. It's been kind of a problem child since I purchased it... (Had to replace the transmission at around 45k miles, had a tire blow out 3 times. Have replaced a ball joint at least 3 times and some other issues. Have had... I think... the CV axle seal replaced twice in the past 6 months.)

The past couple weeks I have been noticing from time to time (maybe 5 times in the past 2-3 weeks) that after sitting at a stop light, it was jerking when it shifted.

Today I had to do a fairly hard stop, and my car stalled (the check engine, oil, and battery lights came on). I put it in park and restarted the car, and it seemed to start ok, and worked the rest of my drive to work. My gas tank is fairly full (dunno how full exactly, my guess is I have at least 3/4th of a tank) so I dont think it had to do with gas levels.

Any ideas? Would these two problems be related?

Torque converter on these cars are probably a lock up style. When the break is pressed there should be a signal to control the lock up function thus keeping the car from stalling.
