I've just bought a Mazda 323f (99) a nice drive - although it seems to have a very erratic idle and often stalls when at lights or going slowly.

Any ideas?

 

i had/kinda have the same problem with mine, except mines a lot older (1988), i basically fixed it by timing the engine, but i noticed too much gas was getting used, so i checked my fuel filter and found that it hadnt been changed, EVER, so i changed it and it settled right out, and if you havent done a tuneup on it (i.e. spark plugs, spark plug wires, oil change, air filter, etc.....) try that
