Default 2003 323f Sport Stereo fascia

Hi all,

Just bought a 2003 323f Sport and want to either change the stereo for an aftermarket on that will play MP3's, or find some way of hooking an mp3 input into the existing one.

Wiring help would be helpful for the latter, but if I change the stereo for an aftermarket one, i fail to see why i've been told I 'don't need' a din adapter or at least a fascia plate to block off the hole left by the old stereo...

Anyone done either of these?

Any help much appreciated...

Cheers

Yep that's right. You need a fascia adapter and ISO lead as well (FP-006 fascia adaptor and PC2-74-4 ISO adaptor). It also depends what's the brand of the stereo, coz I've got pioneer MP3,USB and needed 16 pin adaptor. It's all from ebay and it works superb so far also installed an active sub for a bit more punch!
Hope that helped!
