2002 Mazda 626 interior question?

Hello everyone, not sure if this is the right thread for this, but I figure if it's not a nice person will be able to point me in the right direction :)

I drive a blue 2002 Mazda 626 and the interior is gray. I'm not a big car person so I just drive it to and from work/school/home. My question though is part of the dash and the coin door are feeling sticky/tacky and will leave a white mark if scratched with a fingernail or something. I rubbed some of the stuff off on the coin door, and it's just black underneath.. I'm really confused why it's doing this. It started doing this probably around last summer. I will try and post pictures so you all can see. It almost feels like there's a residue on it.

I've googled this problem but I cannot find anything anywhere. It's frustrating and it bothers the heck out of me. Any help is greatly appreciated! Also, sorry if I'm not very clear, I know very little about cars, lol.

It looks to me like the paint is coming off. If it bothers you too much you can pull the bezels off and clean them with soap and warm water and you end up with black and grey parts. There is also paint in rattle cans available that is specific for plastic parts.

I would probably just wipe it down with a moist cloth.

Rattle Cans, LOL, spray bombs!
You could do some interior decals!
Some carbon fiber vinyl from 3M: 3M Vehicle Wrap Vinyl

Watch out! Noggin is actually a nice guy. His style may be questionable, though!
