2000 Mazda 626 brake problem....help PLEASE!
 

Ok, we have a 2000 Mazda 626 and all of a sudden the brake lights stopped working. We've purchased new bulbs, fuses and even a brake switch and nothing, they still won't work. He said when he was putting the new brake switch in, he noticed another switch on the brake pedal. Does anyone know what this is and could this cause the brakes to not work if it is bad? Does anyone have any suggestions or can anyone offer any tips? We need to get the issue fixed as I have a 1 and 2 year old who are often in the vehicle and I don't want to get hit with them in the car. I thank you in advance for any help anyone can give!
